Senior Investment Accountant

Fortune 500 company is looking for a Senior Investment Accountant with comprehensive knowledge of GAAP and FASB regulations as well as SOX testing and documentation.  The position will ensure compliance with Sarbanes Oxley and implement, interpret and analyze FASB and SSAP regulations.  The Sr. Investment Accountant will analyze and research how to account for new investment vehicles.  This is a remote role. 

• Analyzes and researches how to account for new investment vehicles
• Performs SOX testing and ensures SOX documentation is maintained and updated timely to ensure compliance with Sarbanes Oxley
• Ensure that the Investments general accounting activities are completed entirely accurately and in a timely manner
• Interpret, analyze and implement new FASB and SSAP regulations concerning the Investment Department
• Act in a senior capacity delegating assignments, reviewing and approving work, and providing direction to junior team members

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
• Six years of professional job-related work experience in investments or related accounting/reporting
• Experience managing projects or implementing continuous improvement initiatives
• CFA, CPA, CMA or equivalent is preferred
